A few stronger storms are possible with heavy rain and gusty winds. Otherwise it will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper-70’s. Tuesday through Thursday will be dry and cooler with highs during the day in the low to mid-70’s, while lows at night will be in the low to mid-50’s.Temperatures will begin to rise by the weekend, with highs back into the lower-80’s. MGN ImageLITTLE VALLEY – Another COVID-19 related death has been reported in Cattaraugus County.The Health Department says a 91-year-old man developed respiratory failure and despite aggressive medical treatment was unable to overcome the illness.This is the 30th COVID-19 related death of a Cattaraugus County resident since the outbreak began, the third death just this week.The county also reported 41 new cases of the virus on Wednesday, with 355 cases now active. The county’s seven-day average positivity rate is now 6.3 percent. Indianapolis, In. — The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs has opened the first round of Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) of 2018.The following programs are accepting applications in this round:Main Street Revitalization Program;Public Facilities Program;Stormwater Improvements Program; andWastewater/Drinking Water Program.The complete application, which includes the instructions, proposal/application template and sample documents can be found online here. A webinar on round one will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at 2 p.m., (EST), and can be accessed here.CDBG round one proposals are being accepted until Friday, May 25 at 4 p.m., (EST). Final applications are due by Friday, July 20 at 4 p.m., (EST) with funding awards announced on Thursday, August 16.OCRA recently announced nearly $11 million awarded to 21 rural Hoosier communities in the final round of 2017 CDBG grant funding. A copy of that announcement can be found here.Funding for all of the programs comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and is administered by OCRA.
