World Adivasi Day celebrated at Araku Valley with pomp

first_imgVisakhapatnam: Deputy Chief Minister and Tribal Welfare Minister Pamula Pushpa Sreevani said on Friday that in tribal areas, Girijans will have all rights. She took part in tribal festival held as a part of World Adivasi Day at NTR Grounds, Araku Valley. Srivani said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was according top priority to tribal welfare. Chief Minister has announced to set up a medical college in Paderu,” she said, adding that Rs.66 crore has already been allotted for the college. Similarly, she said Rs.32.40 crore has been sanctioned for DWCRA women. Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao said 75% of jobs in various sectors will be given to local tribals. Araku MLA Chetti Palguna said that the State government has allotted Rs.1 crore for the development of the constituency. While taking part in the festivities, Sreevani joined the dance floor with the tribals.last_img read more
