Gears of War Ultimate pack planned for February

first_imgBoth Gears of War games have been available for quite some time now, and both have seen their price discounted multiple times in sales allowing all 360 owners to grab them cheap. But that hasn’t stopped Microsoft and Epic Games seeing a chance of boosting sales once more with a bundle pack. It’s not official yet, but a listing appeared and then promptly disappeared on GameStop’s website for Gears of War Ultimate. The contents of the pack wasn’t stated, but it cost $29.99 so we must assume it’s the first two games. We can also confidently guess that a new pack containing both games would also include all the DLC. The release date was listed as February 15.IGN suggests that this Ultimate pack may include Kinect support, which could give the motion peripheral an extra sales boost as we head towards the middle of the year. For now, the listing has gone, and Microsoft is only confirming it has nothing to do with Gears of War 3:We can confirm a forthcoming bundle SKU involving the Gears franchise, though this may not be the final SKU name. There are no specifics available at this time, except to say it will not involve Gears of War 3 or the beta. Read more at IGNlast_img read more
