Senegal boss Aliou Cisse believes that the only way to ensure progression to the next round of the World Cup is by beating Colombia in their final Group H gameA point in today’s encounter will be enough to guarantee a spot in the last 16 for Senegal, who currently sit a point above Colombia in second place in Group H behind Japan. Therefore, the Lions of Teranga may opt for a defensive approach in this decisive match – although they have failed to record a clean sheet in the World Cup since their first-ever game against France in 2002.But Cisse, who himself was the captain of that 2002 side, is refusing to lay low and insists that they cannot take anything for granted.“Colombia have to beat us to make it to the last 16, but we are perfectly capable of defeating Colombia,” said the 42-year-old, according to BT Sport.‘I am really happy’ Sadio Mane is loving life at Liverpool Andrew Smyth – September 10, 2019 Sadio Mane poured cold water on doubts surrounding his Liverpool future by opening up on just how “really happy” he is at the club.“Our state of mind hasn’t changed: we play one match at a time. They like commitment, they like high speed, so I think it’s going to be a highly-contested match, a very interesting match between two teams who could both be in the round of 16,” said Cisse.“It’s true that Colombia may raise a few difficulties for us, but we have a few aces up our sleeves as well and I think tomorrow, we will be able to play them.”Senegal and Colombia will meet at the Samara Arena at 16:00 (GMT +2).

The ordinance was introduced by Vice Mayor Linda Murphy: “This would make the Mayor a full member of the City Council, bestowing on that position all of the powers and duties of a regular Council Member.” Soldotna Mayor Nels Anderson cast the deciding vote after a 3-3 tie vote amongst the council, at their meeting on Wednesday, July 25. The ordinance, if passed, would have allowed the mayor to actively participate in debates and vote on every motion coming before the body. It would also eliminate the veto power from the Mayor’s role. Facebook0TwitterEmailPrintFriendly分享The Soldotna City Council voted down an ordinance that would have redefined the role of the Mayor for the City of Soldotna. Mayor Anderson said that the change would not affect how he already does his job: “Now, that’s just me. Anybody else who sits in this position might take an entirely different viewpoint from that.”
Citation: Several “new” craters found in Siberia (2015, February 25) retrieved 18 August 2019 from https://phys.org/news/2015-02-craters-siberia.html © 2015 Phys.org In addition to debating the cause of the creation of the craters, debate has also begun about the term used to describe them—the term crater is usually associated with surface blasts or even more often with collisions between celestial bodies. For that reason, many researchers have begun referring to the craters as funnels. Thus far, it appears that research regarding the craters is being led by Vasily Bogoyavlensky—a professor affiliated with the Russian Academy of Sciences. In an interview with the Russian press he has indicated that he believes that there are far more craters in and around the Yamal and Taimyr peninsulas and that it appears likely that going forward they may present a health hazard. He claims that residents from one nearby town actually witnessed the creation of one of the craters, from a distance—they say they saw a flash and felt the ground shake.Bogoyavlensky also said that he believes that many of the small lakes in the area likely came about due to the same process as the craters. He added that at one site, a large crater appears to be surrounded by several smaller craters and satellite photos have shown the existence of pingos (mounds that develop on the surface due to ice melting and seeping and then refreezing) in the spots where the craters later formed, suggesting a link. He is calling for more investigation to protect those who may venture into harm’s way. Hampering the investigation is the absence of charred rock on the rim of some of the craters, or even a parapet, which should form if a blast came from below. Some have suggested such examples can be explained by noting that evidence may have been left on ice that has since melted. n 80-meter-wide crater recently discovered in northern Siberia (video screenshot) Amazing impact crater where a triple asteroid smashed into Mars
