first_imgKen MillerKenneth Miller, 78, of South Haven, Kansas died, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at his home.Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Wellington. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, at the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Burial will be at the Sumner Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wellington. A memorial has been established with Rivercross Hospice and may be left with the Hawks-Shelley Funeral Home of Wellington. For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.hawksfuneralhome.Kenneth Leroy Miller was born September 19, 1935 the son of Marvin Leroy and Thelma Rose (Gulley) in Wellington.  He attended United School District 353. Kenneth joined the United States Army and served in the National Guard. On May 15, 1956 Kenneth was united in marriage to Oma Aline (Graham) at the First Baptist Church in Wellington. He worked at National Furniture for 14 years and retired from Welco after 38 years as a foreman. He lived in Wellington for 58 years and spent the last 20 years in South Haven.  Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and going to the Regent Theater and drive ins, but most of all spending time with his family.Kenneth is survived by his wife, Oma A. Miller of the home, children: Thomas Miller and his wife Wilda of Wellington, Patricia Reynolds and her husband Jack of Hunnewell, KS, James Miller of Wellington, William Miller of Wellington, Robert Miller of Wellington, Johnny Miller of Wellington and Chris Miller and his wife Beth of Wellington; a sister, Dorothy Shaw of Henderson, NV, 19 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Billie Kabureck, and great grandchildren: Cristian Miller, Gage Andrew Mason and Katlynn Nicole Mason.last_img
