HSE invite those with long-term health conditions to attend free self-management programmes

first_imgAre you an adult living with a long-term health condition, or are you a carer for an adult with a health condition?The HSE in South Donegal will be hosting a showcase of Self-Management Programmes for sufferers of long-term health conditions such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Stroke, Heart Disease, Arthritis, Depression, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and many others.A number of these programmes also support carers. The showcase takes place next Wednesday, 22nd November, from 10am to 2pm at An Clochar Health Campus, College St, Ballyshannon.It is open to the public, who can call in at any stage during these hours to find out information on a range of Self-Management Programmes.The objective of these Self-Management Programmes is to increase people’s skills and confidence in managing aspects of their long-term health condition. This is achieved by giving people access to the right information, education, and support.All the programmes are free.
