No land for Muslims says Rishard

Bathiudeen meanwhile said that his political party, the All Ceylon Muslim Congress (ACMC), handed over a report with its opinion on the LLRC recommendations to President Mahinda Rajapaksa.The President had recently called on the political parties which are part of the government to submit their ideas on the LLRC report. Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen says most Muslims displaced by the war are unable to go back to their original land in the north.Speaking at a media briefing in Colombo today, the Minister said that several Muslims who were displaced from the north during the war are still living in temporary camps or houses. He said that after the war ended some of those who had attempted to go back to their original land in th north found it being occupied by others. During the war the LTTE had evicted hundreds of Muslims from the north and those Muslims moved into temporary shelters in Puttalam and adjoining areas.
